Main series

Naturalia

The Naturalia series was born from a simple question: what are the animals we share our world with actually like? Not the animals of children's stories, but the real ones — with their strange habits, survival strategies, and their unique bonds with the humans who chose them as companions.

The Ragdoll in the first episode isn't just a large, docile cat: it's the story of Ann Baker, a Californian breeder who in the 1960s created the world's calmest breed from a cat named Josephine. A cat that goes limp like a ragdoll when picked up, that behaves more like a devoted dog than an independent feline, and that hides in its genes a cardiac fragility that science can now detect and prevent.

Naturalia is published simultaneously in Spanish, English and German. Each issue includes scientific illustrations, a glossary, an evolutionary timeline and notes for adult readers who want to explore further.

Who we are

About Wildscript

Wildscript is an independent publisher founded in 2026 with a clear mission: to make natural science as compelling as the best-written fiction. We publish illustrated fauna collections — books that read like a good story and teach like a good teacher — facts verified against real sources, told with the tension of a novel.

We're a small team of passionate readers, based in Peru. We're not credentialed zoologists — we're self-taught enthusiasts. We research each book against primary sources: scientific papers, zoological records, specialised veterinary literature. Perfect reads for curious, self-directed nature learners.
